Proverbs 27:17 "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another".

2 Timothy 2:2 "The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesseses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." 

This two verses vividly illustrate the heart of discipleship envisioned for the local church. The pinnacle of Christian maturity is not simply a head full of orthodox doctrine. Nor is it a well-ordered, Christian walk that's only concerned about oneself and one's immediate family. Christian maturity demonstrates itself by a knowlege of sound doctrine, obedient living, and a love for Christ that skillfully brings the Word of God to others in evangelistic outreach, establishment, and Christian growth. In other words, mature Christians are not cul-de-sacs of sound doctrine, but conduits of God's grace to others' lives, maturing and multiply disciples in fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matt 28:18-20).

The Ironman Bible study is for those men who are willing and able to invest their time and energy into becoming mature, disciple-making disciples.

Particular attention is given to: sharpening conviction of sound doctrine; refining character that accompanies a true understanding of sound doctrine; and training in various ministry capabilities to speak and minister God's Truth skillfully in the lives of others.

The Ironman Bible study meets weekly for approximately 90 mins with an additional hour of homework/preparation in between.
