To Believe, Or Not to Believe
April 13, 2014 Speaker: Brent Small
Passage: John 7:25–7:31
In this sermon podcast on John 7:25-31, Pastor Brent offers three “confirming truths” concerning Jesus that supports faith and leads one to a relationship with the Father.
Jesus’ teaching in the middle of the Feast of Tabernacles has placed the crowd in a very pivotal position. The crowd of Jerusalem Jews is sitting on the proverbial “fence” as they try to determine what to do with Jesus. Are they to believe in Jesus? Or, are they not to believe in Jesus?
As with any person who is trying to make a difficult decision, they look for something to lay hold of. They begin looking toward the reaction of others and looking for truths that will somehow help them make a decision about Jesus.
As the scene continues to unfold, three confirming truths about Jesus come to the surface that not only lead one to the faith, but also serve to support the faith of every believer.
