Often times going to a church for the first time can be difficult because you just do not know what to expect. At one time or another all of us have visited a church feeling unsure about where to go and what is expected. At Cascades Bible, we want to make your first-time visit easy by telling you a little about our church and what you can expect when you come.

About Us

Cascades Bible Church launched its first meeting in May 2007 under the direction and leadership of Doug Satterwhite. Our vision is to exalt God through our worship, equip the saints for the work of service and evangelize the lost through the proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Cascades Bible is an independent Bible church governed by its own elders and not subject to the authority of an outside organization or denomination. Currently, we meet at the Loudon County Senior Center which is a community center located in Cascades a community within Sterling, Virginia.

Our congregation covers a wide range of ages and backgrounds. We have a large group of children whose ages range from newborn all the way through high school. We have young working families, single adults, middle-aged families and senior adults all of us being united through our common identity in Jesus Christ.

Our church lies in the heart of northern Virginia just 30 miles west of the United States Capitol building. Positioned in Sterling, we are just a short distance from many communities in and around northern Virginia that such as Leesburg, Purcelville, Manassas, Centreville, McLean, Great Falls, Potomac Falls, Reston and Ashburn.

Sunday Mornings

Currently, we hold Sunday morning services at 10am. Our service lasts for about an hour and thirty minutes and includes prayer, singing of traditional and contemporary hymns and praise songs and also the preaching of God’s Word in an expository style. During our service we collect a weekly offering, however as our guest we do not expect you to give. Your gift to us will simply be your presence and participation with us as we worship the Lord together.

Children are welcome to attend our service, however we do offer two children’s classes. We offer a nursery for newborn babies to three years of age, and we also provide a class for our pre-school and early elementary children ages 4 – 8 years old that meets during the sermon time. This class features a variety of activities along with instruction from the Bible.

We also celebrate the Lord’s Table together as a church on the first Sunday of the month. If you are planning to attend on the first Sunday, we invite you as a believer to participate with us and also plan to stay after our service for a time of fellowship at our monthly potluck lunch.
