The Power of The Resurrection
Topic: Resurrection Passage: Romans 4:25–4:25
In this sermon podcast on Romans 4:25, Pastor Brent observes three “powerful effects” of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ was the most powerful event in human history. God, the Father, through His creative and life-giving power infused new life into His Son and raised Him from the dead. In the book of Ephesians, Paul describes this power as the “strength of His might.”
While the act of the resurrection was powerful, it is the effects of the resurrection that transfer its power to sinners. On Easter Sunday, the church celebrates the power of the resurrection to give and promise new life to all believers. But, how does one articulate this power that the resurrection offers to sinners?
In Romans 4:25, Paul captures the power of the resurrection in one verse. In this passage, Pastor Brent seeks to unlock this power by observing three powerful effects of the resurrection.
