The Nature of Saving Faith, Pt. 4

October 16, 2011 Speaker: Brent Small Series: 1 Thessalonians

Topic: Saving Faith Passage: 1 Thessalonians 1:6–1:10

In part 4 of this sermon podcast series on 1 Thessalonians chapter 1 Pastor Brent Small offers the final three marks of saving faith as modeled by the Thessalonian believers.

Satan throughout church history has attempted to distort and deceive many by confusing the nature of true saving faith. Many people believe they have faith and even testify that they have faith but posses no true saving faith at all. However, we can be assured of what true saving faith really is by discovering how the Bible defines saving faith.

Throughout this series on 1 Thessalonians chapter 1 Pastor Brent has attempted to identify ten distinguishing marks of the nature of true saving faith as modeled by the Thessalonian believers. Saving faith is marked by good deeds, acts of love, perseverance in trial, following of Christ and much more. In this last sermon of this series Pastor Brent will deliver the final three marks: gospel proclamation, repentance and a living hope.
