Local Outreach

          Cascades Bible Church exists to evangelize the lost through the proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We as a church are committed to the proclamation of the gospel in our community through a variety of means:

1. Equipping our members in personal evangelism;
2. Expository sermons that that feature the gospel;
3. Worship music and elements that proclaim the gospel;
4. Distribution of Bibles, tracts and Christian literature;
5. Local outreach efforts in our community.

Senior Adult Outreach

           Currently, our church has the unique privilege to proclaim the gospel among Senior Adults on a weekly basis. Under the shepherding oversight of Doug Satterwhite, Cascades Bible currently has an outreach ministry in Sunrise assisted-living facility in Sterling. Each week Pastor Doug and his wife Vivian along with other volunteers hold regular church services at Sunrise on Sunday afternoon.

           This outreach service fulfills two specific purposes. First, this service provides the opportunity for those saints who are unable to attend a regular worship service to worship God through song, prayer, fellowship and the teaching of God’s Word.

          Second, this service is evangelistic in nature. Many of the seniors living in these facilities do not know Jesus as Lord and Savior. Many have never heard the good news or never been taught the Bible. Therefore, our commitment is to share the gospel with them in hopes that God will bring them to saving faith in Jesus Christ.

          How can I become involved? There are several ways that you can serve in this ministry:

          *Assist with preparing the room for the service,

          *Assist Doug in bringing the seniors to the room for worship,

          *Participate in the service as an encouragement to the seniors,

          *Proclaim the gospel to the seniors as you interact with them,

          *Leading the seniors in song,

          *Assist with returning the room back to its original state,

          *Assist Doug in returning the seniors to their rooms after the service,

          *Writing notes of encouragement to the seniors,

          *Praying for this ministry.
